Californians have had Direct Access to physical therapy since 2014. In most situations, you can be evaluated and treated by a licensed physical therapist without first seeing your physician for a referral. You can receive up to 12 visits within 45 calendar days, whichever comes first. If therapy is needed past this, you will need to get a signed referral from your doctor before resuming physical therapy.

Please wear comfortable clothing that allows access to the treated area and the joints above and below. Shorts are available if you need them. A sleeveless top and loose-fitting pants will usually work.

All appointments are one hour long, One-on-One with your therapist.

During your first visit, Allison will perform a thorough subjective exam and get to know you and your story. She will then observe your posture and functional movements, looking for faulty movement patterns. Strength and range of motion measurements may be taken. Certain areas may be palpated for tenderness or tone. Some treatment may be done as well as instruction in a home exercise program to improve your pain and function.

Camino Physical Therapy is an out-of-network provider and requires payment at the time of service. Camino Physical Therapy will provide a Superbill for each session, which you can submit to your insurance company for any out-of-network benefits you may have. You should check with your insurance company to determine if you have any out-of-network benefits. Superbills do not guarantee reimbursement.

Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapist’s day that could have been filled by another patient. As such, we require 48 hours' notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Patients who provide less than 48 hours' notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged a cancellation fee of $250 to the card on file. If you arrive late for your visit, you will receive treatment for the remaining time and will still be charged the full amount.
